Hi Jan,
First of all it was nice to see my name in the credits. Thnx for that. Like the new help file. Although there are some places to fill there but I'm sure that would be taken care off in due course. The interface has changed dramatically & atleast to my mind not for the better. Before it was smaller & more square-like while this has become rectangular. While the size of the executable is still small which is nice but still liked the old interface better.
Another thing, although the Contents & about are similar to before except the .hlp file which u have given there's still no hot link to www.ctuser.net or an update sign or something. There needs to be some info. if somebody wants to contact u guys. Then one has to read the QPlayer.txt in order to know that there's a website & then from the site that there's a forum. All this needs to be integrated somewhere in the program itself. What is needed is a link to Van's e-mail/ the site name & the forum. You guys are better judge as to how to go about doing stuff but there's my 2 bit. You could look at FF, Flock, Opera for inspiration to get the community behind this.
That's all for now.

Help is still in development, beta 46 will have a more complete version.
The only interface change was to 'remove' the space between windowborder and controls. This may look some strange if you're used to the old interface, but is quite ok after a short while. (Had to get used to myself). However, it's less wasted space.
The buttons/bars in your picture are to show a dropdown list showing the directory list / previously played songs.
Homepage and eMail link have been removed from the info dialog because size. It's shown in the file informations, and the help file (somewhere :). I do not like additional menu links, but maybe I'll add it to the info dialog once.

Sorry for the late reply, but have been tied with things. One of the other things which I've seen is that many a times if u double click on a song which is not on the play-list, the play list get thrown out & the application stops. It doesn't take the new song/s & make a new playlist. The only way I can do that is to go to Add File or Add directory or drag the stuff. Could there be an option which asks if the new song/s want to be added or a new playlist should come up.
What I was basically thinking atleast is to have an update thing which basically pings the server telling the server the application version & checking if there is a new version available. In case yes, then handling the stuff to whatever download manager is available or/and saying that there is a new version available with links to the binary/executable + info to what's new.

Means you're doubleclicking a music file or playlist in the explorer, ...?
If so, QuickPlayer supports playlists (m3u files) only as command line parameter (or doubleclicking / passing to a previous instance); Other files should be ignored.
An update feature is not planned for now, maybe in the future using an external executable or optional dll doing this.[/quote]
