Hi all,
I'm running Quickplayer 1.00 beta 60 preview (built 2007.04.09) now there are quite a few issues with it I found :-

1a. The website :- The website frame of Quickplayer has no mention of the beta product. The latest it gives on the downloads (tab/hyperlink) is the 100 57 product. Then from where I have it, I have no idea. There should be a beta link somewhere for sure.

1b. Non-existent link :- This link given http://www.ctuser.net/downloads.php?runtime/fmod doesn't lead anywhere. Either fix the link or remove mention of it. Also the changelog (tab/hyperlink) mentions of 1.58 but doesn't mention its german although I'm sure one can use that one.

1c. No dates :- Neither the changelog or anywhere in the Downloads are their dates so one cannot know when was a certain version published. This disease seems to afflict all the products listed.

2. The player :- If one digs down to Options > More settings > File formats then one sees there are fixed formats which it plays. What would be whole lot better is that one is able to use all the decoders one has, and put the quickplayer association with those files. For e.g. I have quite a few .flac files http://flac.sourceforge.net/ and as its a gpl'ed it should not have any issues with putting that one in. Right now I have to use VLC Media player (which is more of a video media player) to play those files.

Tha 1.00 beta 57 caption is wrong, as it's beta 58... Just not worth updating this minor but when having a dial-up connection only (modem)

http://www.ctuser.net/showfiles.php?runtime/fmod
Is the correct link, and that for quite some months :) Wonder where you found the other one?... gotta check this when I'm at home, maybe...

Already thought about that, but would be not 100% accurate (server dates via php)... just gotta find a good place to show in the download tab - or show in the lists (archives) only

2:
QuickPlayer shows the file extensions provided by the layer file; the layer file should use all common extensions the sound system supports.
Flac files should therefore work when using the fmodex sound system / layer. I'm not up to date with all fmodex versions, but I assume all recent ones should work with when releasing the official beta 60. You can try beta 58 meanwhile (May not work with recent fmodex releases so...)

(This is a two day old build, but I fixed that in the current version long ago. Maybe it works now :)
