| Interface | The interface uses no complex or slow skinning engine or new skin format; it just looks like it should - like a Windows program. With unicode support, foreign languages are no problem any more (Windows 2000/XP or newer) |
| Music | All common music formats are supported, as well as major formats the sound system supports. In love with a specific song? Just switch to single-repeat mode and optionally use crossfading. Songs can also be faded in/out, and Windows sounds automatically disabled. |
| Drag'n'drop | | Simply drag songs from the playlist to your cd/dvd recording software or filemanager, desktop etc. |

| Input and help | | Calaym has excellent support for both mouse and keyboard. All basic features are available in the main menu, and keyboard shortcuts - which can be customized - are shown on the right side of the item. The advanced tooltips are updated while displayed and also show related keyboard shortcuts. |

| Compatibility | | Calaym should run on any computer with soundcard running Windows 95/NT3.51 or higher, and supports DEP. |
